Send a concise proposal with a working title, the central idea, why it suits Bright Style Journal and the main points you would cover. Specific subjects are more useful than broad promises: name the garment, visual choice, comparison or historical question at the heart of the piece.

We are interested in clear, original articles grounded in careful observation and reliable sources where factual claims need support. A good piece explains its terms, respects different ways of dressing and offers readers a distinct way to look at the subject. We do not seek disguised advertising or unsupported claims.
